He sent lots of photos to show me what should be done and sent photos every day with the progress. it was very labour intensive. With great attention to detail. I always jack the car up at the front and rear if I’m servicing the car but if I had used the jacking points the car would of collapsed. Next time my kids call in I will see if they can load some photos up.
Ref you mobile welder Steve. After seeing what it entails and you have a lovely car. Save your money and weld a quick patch over it and book in with Tom. He will credit your sill you bought and knock it off the bill.
I have more than 1 rover 75 and a ZT and will definitely be going to him in the future for more work. All the best Chris

Thank you Steve.
Tom also injects cavity wax in when he has finished his work, so should be good for a good few years. All the best Chris

I needed mine repaired for the MOT, so I took it to a local chap who's done welding and painting on my cars before. He cut away the sill, just the rear section btw found some corrosion on the jacking point inside, made up repair sections for the jacking point and sill, fitted and painted complete with the stone chip, and waxoiled inside for £400, seems a fair price?
It was strong enough to support the car when jacked up for the MOT, which it passed, so I'm happy.... 😁
Strange thing is, the O/S rear sill was badly corroded but the N/S is solid as a rock! 🤔

That’s good to know there is other professionals out there for those in the south east. Perhaps you could let people know who they are ,as all our cars will need them at some stage over the next few years
All the best Chris

Hi Steve. If you do book with Tom to have the work done, I don’t mind taking you up for the work to be done, and bringing you back.A bit of a ‘repay’ for all you do for us lot at the Nano Meets.

I can/we probably have a look at his establishment and some of his work, which would be very interesting.
