Default Not car related but odd

I acquired a chimenea a few weeks ago but one of the legs was not attached to the cast body but it was attached to the ring that attached two the other two legs and those legs were attached to the body.

No matter how I tried I could not connect this third leg to the body. I took to grinding off the bolts that held the legs to the body and the ring to the legs. Thought it would be easier to suss things out in bits

Found some new bolts and have managed to attach legs to body and ring to legs easily. No bolts seemed to be bent.
Unless the ring had been incorrectly fitted to the legs I have no idea why it would not go together in the first place.

Odd it now all lines up.

I know I risk ridicule, but what is a Chinamea? Wicki is as ignorant as I am. The nearest I can get is Chimera!

2 legs were connected to the body, all 3 legs were connected to the ring.
