Lionesses, fantastic, it is home.
I am delighted they won, well deserved an excellent tournament for them, not just winning the final but the matches before.

And the manager, back to back wins, wow she is worth what she is being paid.

The men's team and manager should take note.

Well done ladies

Totally agree with everything you say Ian,particularly your comment on the contrast with the men's team who blew it against Italy in their final last year.

Very well done ladies you were brilliant

England could have been women's and men's EUFA champions at the same time. Sad that having their best chance ever when our goalie saved the first penalty, the team that are worth and paid hundreds of millions go out and miss three times from the penalty spot. The women beat Germany in the final, and unless I am mistaken get a insulting bonus and two weeks off.
After the match Ian Wright Wright Wright came out with "The world cup is next, and we are one of the favourites" and I thought Billy Connolly was funny.

What effect Germany thinking it was their birthday playing England had on their performance, can only be guessed. I guess they had their celebrations pre planned for when they returned home.
What a performance, you blew out their birthday cake candles. Well done girls.

Might I point out that the German's star player was injured in the warm up - so maybe a hollow victory?

I wonder if we'll be reminded of this for the next 60 years or so?

Also wonder how many will be honoured in some form come the New Year?

Excuse my cynical comments though, well done to them all. In these troubling times we could do with some good news such as this. There is clearly a positive buzz about the country this morning.

Well done to all the team and their staff for a job well done. Great to see smiles on home faces for a change. I just hope that they carry on playing with their hearts and that the inevitable sponsorship doesn't ruin the womens game too.

With Brexit, Covid, energy prices, political scandal, war, inflation, murder of a 9 year old, we really needed this bit of joy.

What is a shame, is people are rubbishing the Lionesses performance.

Ya the Germans star player was out but if she had played they may have lost by an even greater score.

No hollow victory.

Credit were credit is due.

One can only play against what is provided. Take advantage and exploit the opportunities given. The England ladies did precisely that.

A win is a win.

I think Southgate has to shoulder a big percentage of the blame for selecting penalty takers who had either played no or little part in the match up until then.It was a high pressure situation and they were not even properly warmed up.Fine lines which make the difference.Awful pens from highly paid pro's never the less!
