Just to clarify,FDH is not a model,it is registration number of a group of top spec turbo coupes that were exported to Japan some of which failed to sell.They were returned to the UK and offered through main dealerships for circa 12K.Very nice car and quite unique I would think in that condition and with that mileage.Prices of the coupe are rising generally due to increasing rarely.Good luck to them with the sale.

Looks stunning as it should at that price / mileage but all its value is in the mileage which means you either can't drive it much or devalue it considerably. Good tidy coupe turbos are around the £5-6k mark at the moment which is cheap considering what an equivalent Ford / VW would be.

That's a really nice one, if it's kept without putting too many miles on it then it could appreciate in value over the coming years.

And what an enjoyment that might be. Buy it, drive it, enjoy it. All these people who ‘store’ these cars are only after the money they hope it will appreciate by. The classic and rare cars are up and down on the real auction market., so it is all according how long you wish to tuck it away.

From a personal perspective, if I ever started to consider the monetary value of a car I was intending to purchase as opposed to its utility or enjoyment value to myself from driving it, I would not be buying that car.

Buying and storing a piece of metal with ferrous content in the hope that it may one day fetch a higher price is something to which I just cannot relate.

As unique as it is anybody buying it has to make the decision to use it and take a big hit on it or store it and spend cash on storing it.

Enjoyed using mine for the short time I owned it, and won a couple of races too, even after ending up on its roof.

Only paid 30 quid for it mind. Had I known what they fetch these days I might have put it away in the garage - I remember when stripping it down there wasn't any rust on it whatsoever.

Rather strong money, similar to an XJc 4.2 I noticed recently.

Anyway.

Nice looking motor though, down to the purchaser as to what they do with it. Some see such things as an investment, some just like them to look at, whilst others would use them for their intended purpose.

Each to their own.

They are 24 years old, I would be concerned!
