Very shocking and sad news.

Peter wrote very friendly messages, inviting me to local meets, which unfortunately, I wasn't able to make during the post-pandemic period.

My warm condolences to his family at such a dreadful time,

Nicholas

Met Peter many years ago at a Milton Keynes meeting, immediately struck with him a sense of great friendship, a true legend and star. We would have weekly telephone calls and meet up at meetings and yard visits, Peter was a true friend who would give his time and help so freely to so many. Telephone calls became very conserning as I was sensing the state of illness, it was noted about a year ago by both Shiner and I, progressively Peter worsened in how he sounded over the phone calls and they became very short with his feeling very breathless and tiredness. It was a really great friendship and one that so many will miss, a beautiful gentle giant of a guy !
My thoughts are with Shiela and the girls during this tragic time.
God bless Uncle Pete, rest my good man and hope you have a good look at all of the great history you had created with us here.
Love and miss this legend -
Blessings to the Girls X

So sad too hear of Pete's passing met each other twice once at the national meet at the fleet air museum shared a beer together and talked about rugby especially Wales rugby union

He was a hardcore supporter of some of the Welsh teams and traveled far and wide for each of the games he loved the sport huge passion for it and loved going too Wales the watch the matches.

A really nice person was always up for a chat and at one stage when I was at my lowest he gave me a pep talk and told me straight what I needed too hear he wasn't afraid too say it as it was but truly did mean a great deal.

RIP Pete

My deepest condolences too the family at this very sad time

I'll keep up too date with the rugby union when it's my time to go and that pub you like I'll treat you too a black dragon cider as I know how much you liked it when i bought one for you before.

I’m really saddened to hear of Pete’s passing. As others have said, he was a generous man and frequently offered me a cold drink from his stash in the car at meets. He was a driving force of the Frimley Breakfast meets traveling a fair distance to attend himself.

Rest in peace sir, and thank you for all you have done in the club.

So sorry to read this - as others have said, Pete was an absolute gent. I remember one meet which was much colder than expected, he lent me a spare coat to keep the wind off as I'd left mine at home. Condolences to his family.

Hi everyone
I am Katie Harrison - Peter Harrison’s younger daughter. I just wanted to join the site to thank you all for the kind messages regarding dad! They have been so touching and heartfelt! It’s so comforting to know that he touched so many peoples hearts and the stories are just typical dad style! I have read all the messages to my mum and my older sister and we thank you for taking the time to post and remember him. I know dad would have wanted me to join the site as it was a big part of his life.. Unfortunately I don’t drive a Rover but a VW Golf R - please don’t hold it against me

Many thanks Katie
