Default Headlining replacement on 4 doors Rover 75.

Hello,

My Rover 75 is 20 years old this month, and the interior roof covering is peeling off on all sides...
I'm in France, and you can find jersey fabric on a foam base to restore the internal trim, but you can only find beige or gray.
The body color is "Wegdewood blue", the leather seats are dark gray and the interior color is a kind of very pale beige/gray (smokestone?).
Please, does anyone know if the UK fabric is found in its exact colour ?

This may help. I believe you might be wanting Oatmeal, you can ask these chaps for a sample first.

Ok, many thanks!

Thanks again for this address, I asked them for 3 samples and they sent them to me.

I'm in France as well and couldn't find any supplier with a colour matching Light Smokestone for my ZT-T. I've done headlining in two other cars using headlining fabric supplied by La Boutique du Tapissier online, very good quality but they don't have any colour matching Smokestone, though their beige colour is a perfect match for my 75 with Sandstone Beige headlining.
I'm the one who gave Pete the advice for the Oatmeal colour from Martrim, after checking out their samples. It's not a 100% match but it's the best one I could find.
Here's a pic, be aware that pictures do not necessarily reflect real-life colours...

Be aware of shipping costs from Martrim to France though. It will cost you a lot more in shipping costs than the fabric itself. I shipped mine to my sister's place in the UK and picked it up on the way back from Roverfest...

Thank you for this information, indeed, I have not seen a really similar nuance on French sites, starting with the one you quote. It's less serious for a roof trim, because we don't tend to look at it in detail, but on the other hand, it's more annoying for the same coatings on the doors... The ones in the front literally "float", the ones in the back are still intact, but I dread having to change all this, the disassembly is quite complicated.

I did not actually inquire about transport costs, it is true that they are quite expensive in England, just like hotels ! ( In any case I had noticed this in the 80s / 90s )

I hope especially that this fabric will be well placed on a foam support that the glue can not cross!

Can you give more details on the Sandstone trim from the french company as I'm looking at getting both headlining and door cards redone by a trimmer

Sure can.
This is the one : https://www.boutiquedutapissier.fr/t...ile-sam04.html
On my 1999 launch car it is a perfect match to the existing headlining and door cards. My door cards would need doing but the headlining is still intact...
They also sell on Amazon France, don't know if it can be ordered from the UK on either site though :

Information that may be interesting for those whose code "TRIM" is LBB, i.e. a dark gray and light beige trilmming:

I just received from Martrim.co the 3 samples of "Brushed nylon" fabric in shades:

- Silver grey, Cloud grey and Cream...

The "Silver grey" sample is 97% identical to the "light smoke stone" shade, whose code is: LBB ( Found on lh "b post" pillar ).
I will now estimate the cost of transportation for the France...

I found Oatmeal to be a better match myself to Smokestone than Silver Grey, as per my picture above. Silver Grey is the sample at the very left in my picture…
