Coolant leak where coolant hose bolts to radiator, Diesel
Has any one else had this issue? Ive tried another hose connector from the scrappy, same problem, tried with and without an Oring, and with silicon gasket seal from a tube, nothing is getting rid of the leak
Attempting the Oring and silicon gasket once more Is there an odd size Oring it needs? Or perhaps theres damage to the radiator? To be clear, its Top of the radiator, drivers side

Phil T-4 and I came up against this on one of the fleet cars, the radiator seemed in good shape and no distortions noticed, the "O" ring was the culprit, but getting one was not so simple. Eventually a bag of mixed "O" rings was bought from Homebase which had the right one for the fix.
I would advise checking and cleaning all mating surfaces thoroughly prior to assembly, also unless damage is present, t6he use of sealants wont be necessary. Good luck with this. |

Appologies for bringing up an old topic, but did you get a resolution to this? I'm chasing minor leaks around the engine bay at the minute and this is causing me problems. Rimmers appear to do a metal one, I wonder if this would provide a solution once and for all? https://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-PEP102751SS
