A40 shut between Denham and Swakeleys Roundabout. Chaos.
Just a heads up, major delays due to A40 shut between Denham and Swakeleys Roundabout. Plus M4 shut between J6 and J8/9 therefore Diversion M25 North onto M40 West to Handy Cross TL onto A404.
It is critical you have a look at Denham Google Maps on your phone. You may be OK coming off the M25 going under M40 and looping left onto M40 East. Take exit slip road to old A40 going West. Avoid Not reccomended. Safer alternative is M40 West to Beaconsfield TR onto A355 TR on A40 take 2nd exit go East. Cross over M25 Duckling is 1/2 mile on right. Grout20 come off at Maple Cross take A412 to A40 turn right at lights. Go back same way. colinjyates and Ranger74 go via Holyport TL onto A308 TR at Roundabout Stafferton Link TL at Bray Road up to A4 TR then TL at Maidenhead Bridge go to Cookham Wooburn Green TR onto A40 East. Seablue TR off A40 at Polish War Mem. Breakspear Rd Nth to Harefield TL down Hill TR Moorhall Road TL onto A412 to A40 turn right at lights. Go back same way. Hope to see you all tomorrow for Brekkie I can lead you out down Hollybush Lane ( Single Track) to A412 TR to M4 J5 onto M25. Peter. |

Pretty good Meet
Hi All,
Thanks folks for coming yesterday, despite my panicking about the closure of A40 on Saturday, scheduled to reopen on Monday morning. I have been in one of these jams before and it took 35 minutes to do 400 yards. Not an experience I would wish upon anyone! Lo and behold the Road Mender crew finished at 6.15 a.m. Sunday morning. Bless them. I sailed through at 8.30 a.m. I have booked Frimley for 26th September. Peter. |
