Default Mg ztt cdti black smoke and hose blows off

My car was running great I was doing over 80 Mph than my car starting making a funny noise . and then black smoke out of exhaust on hard acceleration .when pulled into service a notice the the top rubber hose from intercooler and inlet manifold EGR hand come off .
I put it back on with the jubilee clip and ever thing was ok but after few miles it had come off again with more heavy black smoke

Can some one tell me why it blowing off . i have feeling back pressure from some where.

Could be as simple as a porous hose, a poor jubilee clip etc.

Same thing happened to me when I collected my caravan.

The intercooler hose has to be really tight. I found using a screwdriver wasn’t good enough. Better to use a small socket on the hex of of the Jubilee, also clean all oil residue off the hose helps.

Hi Howard.
How old is the intercooler hose, if swelled change it also the O-rings and only use Viton ones, use a new jubilee clip, another good idea would be to clean your EGR and Manifold along with the MAP sensor.

At the moment it sound like the jubilee clip is faulty they can at a certain point just not tighten anymore, even more so if its the wrong size.

Some egr bypass pipes don’t have a ridge on the end, this makes it difficult to secure the intercooler hose successfully.

Hi Howard.
What type is it can you add a photo, also do not dismiss the intercooler O-rings.
