Given up!!
Having replaced both ubp and itp, I have constantly had the throttle cut to no more than 2000 revs.
Nothing is showing on toaf, leakback test is all good. No signs of fuel leaking from the HP pump, no smell of diesel in the oil. Oil pressure light comes on, ecu is clean and I have also stripped the ECU to check for corrosion and its clean. At my wits end with the damn thing now. It don't matter how much fuel is in the car either. Box had a fluid change, no difference, 2/4 solenoid no difference. Think its time the scrap man came and took the blasted thing away. Might have to go back to a mondeo. Never had a problem with the mk1/2 or 3 I had except they weren't as nice to drive as a 75. |

Does the 75 have a limp mode? Could be the 02 sensor?

The autobox certainly has but then you generally get the error EP. Even though the EMU appears 100% dry they do fail.
I'd suggest trying to nurse the car to someone knowledgeable with a T4, I don't know how far the OP is from BigRuss. My daughter had a strange fault on her V6 which we thought was relay related. Nothing on Toaf but my T4 identified a cam sensor error, swopped and all good. Strange but happy result. Regards |

I have had a similar problem - it was a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor.

had similar thing happen to me on a kv6 2.5 engine.
Turned out to be a faulty o2 sensor, the first one before the cat converter. Easy to check, just unplug it and the ecu goes to a default setting and runs fine. The plug is right next to the aircon pipes going down the fire wall, At least its easy to eliminate if it not that. |

First zt tourer I had had a fuelling prob, previous owner had replaced everything except that sensor, it was over pressurising the system and the car cut out but restarted straight away, a t4 session identified the culprit and a good used replacement cured it.
The other thing could be the throttle pedal is worn out, best thing is the Op get it on a t4. |
