The mechanic who had changed the clutch found the origin of the clicking this morning:
It's quite simply the big grommet which is around the steering column and which seals with the engine compartment which had come out of its housing!
We could see the engine compartment through the hole, which explains the passage of engine noise...
In any case, no more noise at all!
It seems obvious that by moving the steering rack, this grommet must have come off.
A lot of anguish for little things, but it can be useful for others...
