Default O/S rear light bulb cluster holder saloon

Hi there. The bulb holder plate has corroded wiring connector socket, likewise the wiring plug. Has anyone got these items? The earth was worst, but the others no better. only one wiring plug required.

Thanks

You do not need a replacement light cluster if the pins are rusty.
Remove your old cluster, tuck toilet paper down both sides of the pins.
Soak toilet in vinegar, 5% acidity will do. Make sure you keep the toilet paper wet. Couple of days later the toilet paper will be rusty and the pins clean. Wash off the pins and coat pins with https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165185392259

and you should be fine.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago

I'm probably as thick as a plank, but cannot see how to stuff paper in or on the multi-plug and socket of the bulb holder!

macafee2's suggested repair sounds ok to me - insert toilet paper (other tissue paper products are available) into the socket on the exterior of the bulb holder - proceed with mild acid cleaning as described - rinse well, dry and grease.

Might be trickier cleaning out the plug so a new one if you can source is the way forward there.

If you feel you need a replacement bulb-holder I have one I can send you for £10 INCLUDING POSTAGE! Worked OK on my car but replaced because of damaged lens.

you have the cluster in your hand with multi plug removed.
If you look at the socket you an see there is space to tuck toilet paper or tissue paper down the sides of the pin. you may need a small screwdriver to push the paper down.

You will need to grease the pins again in about a year

I dont think I did the multi plug just greased it
