Lates is the guy for these if you're in his area - he's been doing these for donkeys years.
It'll be one of our kits he supplies and fits, too - complete with OE-supplier waterpump.

The guy who runs Freelander Specialists in Methwold, Suffolk is an absolute guru on the KV6 (some early Freelanders used the engine) and will definitely be able to do the job. He rebuilt my whole engine two years ago and after 20,000 miles it's running beautifully.

i'm wondering if there is a list of old rover/mg dealers, some may still have the tools needed and be able to do servicing

Hi John,

I'd say that your best bet is to get on the A14 and let Lates do it, as has already been suggested. They will know that your 190 engine needs the special horseshoe adaptors which were an optional extra for many aftermarket kits and many garages don't have them.
