Default "Driver Power" 75's fall from grace

Just looking through this weeks edition No 1212 of Auto Express,
It's a shame as we seem to have dropped right out of contention after being in the top 20 in Driver Power for the last few years.

The Honda S2000 did the same thing a couple of years back if I recall correctly. It was at no 1 for at least 2 years then dropped out of sight.

Never mind we still love our 75's & ZT's

Dont we

It was a good run while it lasted, the newest of our cars will have been built 7 years ago so it's not like we have any newer models to help keep us competitive. Yes i know there's the MG6 but that's hardly made any impact in the UK. I've still only seen two, one on a transporter and one in a hospital carpark.

The more I like it. I like the "low-key-ness" of my R75. Fit my personality quite well. Just relaxed and cruising. What other people think about other cars isn't relevant. The most important is I like the car.

I don't know about 75s but my ZT certainly isn't low key. It's the first car I've actually had strangers comment (positively) on it.

The oddest one was when I broken down in Leamington Spa with steam pouring out of the bonnet. I woman stopped me and said "it's shame as it's a lovely MG" and walked off

Saw my first MG6 on the road today... was an Avis rental car though. Looked okay although the burnt orange colour isn't my cuppa.

Funny how the car has the exact same wheelbase as the 75 but isn't based on it

I thought the 6 was based on the Insignia?

Sent from a Galaxy Nexus in a ZT far, far away!

Your ZT is supposed to be the sporty R75. Of course your ZT won't be as low key. Sort of like the M5 vs 520i.
My R75 is in tempest grey with black leather and plastic wood trim. It's a 1.8 also so no screaming engine and no aggressive overtaking. It just glides along. Even my sitting position is high and laid back for maximum comfort.
