Thanks John,
The wern`t all that bad to begin with, I used 1500 wet & dry then plenty of T-cut.
I need to find a decent sealer now to finish off with,
wet & dry is a bit scary as they look awful for a while but it worked out.

I invested in a quantity of the 3M discs formulated for hard plastics like acrylic, macralon and pollycarbonates.
from 80 grit, 120,240,500,800,1000 & 1500 then soft Trizact discs for lustre then MOPing for polish finish.

Most headlights can be recovered from a surprisingly poor condition to reasonable to excellent finish.

I must say i am interested to look in a year or two at the longevity of the lights that have been clear coated as well...

That all sounds good Pete, if I so much as open a bonnet here the neighbours (only one so neighbour) are onto housing assc, God forbid if I powered up a drill outside.

its much easier to take the lights out and do them inside..

The chrome bit of my front passenger door was loose and eventually fell off. The fixing clips were broken and I had previously glued it on. But this time, rather then re-gluing I bought a whole door handle off eby, £10 posted, which I thought was quite good. All back in place and shiny now.

Good job. In past 6 years with my 75 I changed 3 handles.... what we will do when they will run out

today i have broken the clutch on mine, a 2001 year, 51 plate diesel estate.

got home ok last night, this morning, jumped in and set off to go into town and the clutch pedal stayed on the floor.....

drat....

sent a PM to Andy Willi i hope he will be able to look at it sooner rather than later as i use the car for work.
