I would recommend this:-
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Netgear-WGR6...3379107&sr=8-3

Not the cheapest but easy to configure and top quality. 2 year warranty.
4 ports for wired connection and wireless.

Hi Steve

First of all, if your friend is on Virgin media (Cable Broadband), a Wireless Router only is required & not a Modem/Router (ADSL)

As far as make/model is concerned, I have a preference to D-Link products & I personally use a DIR655 N series.

For the best Wireless speed & coverage, the N series is the way to go.

There are many makes aswell as D-Link of course & I would stick to the better known brands such as Netgear, Linksys & Belkin.

Setting up has now been made very easy with the supplied setup CD which takes you through step by step.

I prefer to setup manually without the CD but the 'wizard' on the CD is fine.

Hope this helps

Mike
