Smile Nearest sound 75/ZT garage please

When it came to a service aspect that called for a really sound knowledge on our cars I used to rely on MJS an Littlehampton . Mike came from MG Rover and I had confidence. Unfortunately he has had to close the garage and , although he is still contactable for many service features , when it comes to ‘heavier’ things calling for up on a ramp etc I believe he can no longer provide cover. SO , can anyone guide me to a garage with staff who have a sound knowledge of Rover 75’s / proven expertise that I can reach from the Guildford , Surrey area. Whilst I do have a local garage that can service ‘basic’ tasks on my cars ( I do quite a few myself too ) , I would say that , after some discussions with them the other day , they are not an ‘MJS’ and I have limited confidence in their ability to handle the more challenging tasks - such as investigating Clutch / gear matters .
All the best

Cool

Why not just contact MJS and ask what he can or cannot do. Or he might be able to recommend a garage.

I use mg rover repair centre in wickford Essex. Not too bad to travel to from your location.

If you can contemplate a journey around the M25 then consider Souls of Olney near Milton Keynes where Phil-T4 works, one of the foremost experts on these cars even if we don't see him on here very often.

Regards

Thumbs up Thanks

Appreciate the responses. I likely will have a word with Mike at MJS and I do know Phil T4 ( found him a car a couple of years ago) but I thought he had 'retired' from working on our cars. Neither Milton Keynes or Essex too far so thanks for the help.

I believe that Martin, Mikes co-mechanic at MJS, still works in Littlehampton. Always worth asking for his number off of Mike.

Only retired from private jobs, i do tend to be given most Rovers/MG's that are booked into the garage, seems i just can't get away from them!

I can recommend PD Auto Services near Lingfield. They've done a lot of work on my 2.5, including transmission fluid change and cooling system work (the two banes of the V6). Reasonable price and very nice people.
