Fan motor
Looking for a very very very very cheap working fan motor as my 3-speed is burnt out even with new brushes. Don't want much I know!
Still if you don't ask... ...by the way did I mention it must be cheap? |

Have you tried shorting the relays in the control box to see if it's definitely the fan that's at fault ?
I have a 3-speed from a diesel here, it's not mine it belongs to another forum member, I borrowed it to check my car and replaced a brush. I'll PM him and see what he's doing with it shall I ? Edited: sorry I assumed it was a diesel, the petrol has a different control box. Is the fan motor different or is it just the control box that differs ?

Hi Uncle, if you can find out what he is doing with it that would be great.
I have got mine to run tonight shorting it directly from the battery but only on 2 speeds! Many thanks. |

Fan motors themselves are the same across the range with the exception of some 1.8's that where physically thinner and less powerful, and the three wire 2 speed also fitted to the 1.8's
A diesel 3 speed 4 wire motor is the same as a petrol 3 speed 4 wire A diesel 2 speed 2 wire motor is the same as a petrol 2 speed 2 wire The difference is in the relay set up
