Morning everyone.
It’s a tad frosty out there this morning but there isn’t a cloud in the sky.

Good morning Andy, Bob, good morning Ian, Steve and Jeff welcome to the day.
I am sat here downstairs with the doors and shutters on the windows closed to keep out the heat and the sun. Yesterday it was 35C and last night 26C. I should not complain when I see people have been having to cope with frosts. Yesterday I booked an appointment in the first week of June to see the cardiac vascular surgeon at a hospital in London. Then I emailed the surgeon and I have asked him to repair the aneurysm in my right knee using the Saphenous vein above the right knee as a graft in a procedure called a Femoral-Popliteal Bypass with graft. I have asked the operation be carried out in June/July and asked him to tell me what scans and tests will need to be done before I see him, as I want to get on with the op. The aneurysm in the knee is measuring 2.1cm and above this, it can start to throw off clots and embolisms. A full clot inside the aneurysm can block the blood supply from the knee to below leading to gangrene etc, It’s not a very nice operation as the leg is cut open from the groin down to just above the ankle. The aneurysm in the knee is accessed and tied off. The Saphenous vein is then removed and turned around to change its function from vein to artery, then the vein is reconnected to the lower and upper leg. Hopefully the pulses in the foot will be working before the leg is closed back up. Hoping that is going to be the last op. What is everyone up to? |

I see there is no comeback for the “Thank you or top thanked” box, something else has replaced it. I reckon the thank you feature will disappear into the archives and become something archaic. How sad, as it recognised the good work and good will into the club done by members such as Flying Banana, Coolcat, yourself and Reebs. My apologies for missing anyone else out, but it is what it is, a thing of the past. I bear no ill feeling and one must accept these things and move on, just my opinion |
