Default DVB-T2 digibox problem

Well I finally decided to have a go fitting my digibox as above, the problem is, no picture
I have connected up the power lead as mentioned on another thread (live feed from the TV tuner and a switched live from the radio box and earth to the body) I assume it must be ok as the LED power lamp lights up on the digibox, the antenna is connected as is the remote "eye" I have the three RCA? plugs from the back of the digibox connecting to the separate short "splicing/adaptor cable/loom that goes between the TV tuner and the original plug so you can "inject" the digibox signal into the loom, the TV/monitor screen is switched to the AV channel but there is nothing, just a blank screen with the word "mute" at the bottom, does not matter what you press on the remote hand set nothing happens, by the way the remote handset is working.

Any chance it's something really simple I have forgotten to do, it probably is

Thing is, there is nothing on the screen not even a "no signal" message, I assumed that there will be something on the screen same as you get with a TV at home, does not the digibox itself put some kind of "set up" message to tell you what to do, on the monitor?

it should go into the set up menu.then you tune it in to get the stations.i was then I could get nothing until I moved the car.you must have answer A a duff box.or B it connected up it wrong. I no I found it a bit confusing with the av in and out bit .and on mine it turned out you connect it the opposite to what my feeble brain was telling me

You should still get the on screen display up when you press menu on the remote regardless of aerial signal
I would double check that the yellow (video) RCA connector is in the correct Av in connection on the double din and not in the camera in or the Av out
If all that is correct then as Phil says, possibly a duff box !

There is no rca connector on the back of the double din, it's an original highline TV monitor/screen

Sorry, didn't notice this was posted in the factory Highline section in your thread so presumed it was plugging in to an aftermarket double din, however the theory on it being connected to the correct wires in the car loom still stand

I got one of those short bits of loom like the one from toys in your car except that they never seem to have any in stock from another ebay trader recommended on here to save cutting and soldering I thought it would be a lot easier that way

All the rest was from Radioguy.

I can't really see how I've gone wrong as it's all colour coded, if I got the permanent and switched live the wrong way round could that do it?
