It is. Remember though I am in northern ireland. Some of our testing stations are covid test centres at the minute!

We also normally get reminders approx 4-6 weeks prior, with nothing forthcoming I did check. It was amended between the last week of August and first week of september.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested that if you are stopped just say you are going for an eye test

Ah yes, different set of rules there so apologies for not noticing your location. With the extensions over here beginning to expire coupled with the normal amount of vehicles due a service and MOT, we are booked up for weeks in advance.

Also in England at the time most rules were guidance or instructions whereas in Wales restrictions have been written into law.

All that aside! News conference today has confirmed travel is permitted to support businesses, health reasons, work etc etc. However as I live in Bridgend for now there is no travel out of the county or non Bridgend citizens can come in.

Actually non residents have been instructed to leave.

My post maybe comes across as the Welsh whinging (maybe even slightly), but I felt they were correct to complain, and highlight the situation - I thought it was very selfish of the visitors.

My underlying thought was a little tongue and cheek, in that if it was good for them to come to your country, it will be good enough for you to go to theirs

Our MOT centres were all shut down prior to the lockdown, due to concerns of the equipment safety. Once the new equipment was installed, it was removed again to use a Covid testing centres! lol. Some of them still are!
