Picked it up from the garage.
Decided to let someone else fit the clutch instead of losing 2 days work and laying on my back ,doing myself a mischief. £375 after 10 hrs work ,I supplied the parts. Not the cheapest but needs must when you cant drive the car, plus it's a garage I have used in the past and I'm happy with his work. Now to get cracking on towards the next milestone...250,000. Stan

Replaced my broken Mk4 DVD unit with a replacement from a BMW specialist. Sat Nav now works!

Fitted the Sony BT radio and single din surround using a Connects2 kit and patch lead for the steering wheel controls. All plug and play and worked straight out of the packet! Unusual for me! I've still got the intermittent loss of signal to the radio (crackling interference somewhere). I tried a different aerial and it's just the same. We do have a lousy signal here on the east coast, so I will try it on a journey inland and see if it is the same.
Also adjusted my throttle cable to remove the slack. Feels much better although it's probably like the time when I added a pad to mum's accelerator (Short ar*e syndrome) and she thought that I'd tuned it up!

Used my isolation day to chuck a new water pump and a set of belts on the V6.

Got a bit dissolutioned today after the front suspension disassembly proved to be a right pain with every nut and bolt fighting me. The cold wind and dreary day didn't help much either. Time for a breather, that's enough for now. Those rear arm bush bolts are mocking me............ am I getting paranoid!

Well overdue change of Hydromount on my 2002 75 Diesel , Only tricky part was the extra lug stopping me getting onto top nut of Hydromount and also plenty of wellie to move the mount without the special tool.
Its amazing how bad it was totally in 2 half's but no vibration only changed it because all others been done.
