Just taken SWMBO for a walk round the block - obviously I switched the heating off for the 15 minutes we were out - don't want to be splashing money about.
I do like a deep breath (especially when thpeaking with a lithp)

What a day its been

Rained for 24 hours non stop

High winds

We are doomed,its the end of the world

And Jeff is in Sunny Clacton on Sea,whats happening

More the same forecast for the next couple of days

You're not alone mate - we're averaging a heavy shower, backed up by very strong winds, every 20 minutes or so.
There is one consolation - the gardens etc. are getting watered at no direct cost to me

Evening all, spent the day sorting out stuff in boxes that have been sat there for years!

So far six full black bags of stuff for the tip and lots of boxes to go to the local homeless charity.. This is just from the house, the shed and garage will be done over the weekend.
