Default An over complicated brain!

Sometimes it pays to think logically!! Having put back my 190 thermostat the car ran perfectly for a few days. I decided to give it a spring clean and hoovered it out. I duly did this and it looked lovely. I drove to work the next day and it felt odd and seemed to driving itself. I looked under bonnet in the carpark and everything looked fine. On the way home the car wouldn't return to idle and seem to be revving its head off!! I drove the car to a local friendly garage and explained what I had done. The mechanic noticed my car was looking clean and tidy and asked me to open the drivers door. He looked down and shuffled around and said, 'I've fixed it'. When I had hoovered the car I took out the very heavy rubber floor mats and I thought I have carefully replaced them. The driver's side mat was resting on the accelerator pedal!! Simple fix for a complicated brain!
The rest of the mechanics just took the mickey out of me for 10 mins!!
