Default Big brake upgrade: what have you done?

Hi guys

Interested in upgrading the brakes on the turbo and I wondered what options there were.

I know there's the V6 setup but I fancied something a little bigger.
I'd be looking at drilled and grooved discs which are pretty easy to find but I'm not sure what calipers are available.

Any thoughts?

James

I've upgraded mine to 190 brakes, you will need discs, calipers and carries and pads. Straight swap. But you will need 18 inch alloys.

Cosmetically the 325mm 190 brakes look the part through the alloy. The braking effect is slightly better than the standard 286mm set up. Grooved or drilled discs are an option on top of a costly setup.

The 190 vented rears need differant Calipers, but in theory they are no better than the standard solid rears.

190 drilled and grooved discs and green pads, there is nothing better unless you start paying silly money for calipers.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
Think I'll look out for the 190 setup with drilled and grooved discs.

Spending loads on all sorts for this car!

Andy

Totally agree

Best place for 190 discs is Mtec

Pab

I have spent most of this weekend replacing the discs and pads on my other car, much easier to do on the MG
