TBH I don't mind so much the consumption : I was well aware before buying and the car is a very bliss to drive but I'm just a bit concerned by autonomy because there aren't so much ethanol pumps in some areas. Just a tad over 1k in France. And mind you that ethanol consumption is approx 25 % worse than with 95ron !
Never mind I love my pride and joy !

I got 37 mpg on a gentle run to Hastings in my ZT 190 once but average ranged from 21-27 mpg in normal use pottering around.

I have a 2005 ZT190+ Manual Saloon and I've been logging fill-ups and mileage via an app since the day I bought it as my daily driver in 2015.
My average fuel consumption is 23.7mpg, with a minimum of 20.9mpg and a maximium of 27.0mpg. This is over 24,277 miles and 4723 litres (1039 gal or 81 fuel stops). I don't have a trip computer so can't tell you whether it goes above 30 on a long motorway journey or below 20 doing burnouts at the drive-thru. I can only share the above numbers which are spat out by the app when I fill up. I dream of hitting the published average of 28mpg one day, I have toys that return better figures! 2.5V6 auto, best 10km/l.
About 9 in the V8 and less in the 560SEC. 42 mpg owners are maybe dyslectic!

I’m another driver who learned how to drive economically with a Smiths Vacuum Gauge. My Vanden Plas Princess 1100 had two rows of four gauges in a custom dash, the vacuum being one.
I still drive the Merc using a simmilar system which aids economy. As for the 75, well on both my V6’s I got around 26mpg locally and 40 mpg on a long run but that was working at it to achieve that. |

My 2.5 is perfect for me. My local garage sells good coffee, my 2.5 gives me plenty of reason to visit it. I don't think you can even consider consumption if you want to drive one of these.
