Thankfully I worked my way up to Boss status but that came with plenty of it's own challenges.

It's is only used when you mean it is. Its belongs to it. The late journalist Con Houlihan from the Kingdom of Kerry once stated that "a man who misplaced an apostrophe was capable of anything." |

Try again,my experience of working with idiots.
The last place i worked, there were 3 of us as shop floor supervisors,we were told that there was a promotion to be done as an overall supervisor.I told the other 2 that i would be applying as being 62yrs of age i wanted to cut back on my work commitment. They gave the position to one of the lads. This being the lad who came into the canteen previously from being outside in snow,to declare "That it was like Suburbia out there." Also remarked that he had booked a holiday which was all exclusive. Didn't have the heart to tell him he would be the only one on the beach. His 1st duty as supervisor was to have everyone in for a talk on health and safety and work procedure, one at a time. My turn come up,he had a list of questions,1st question was, what do i know about "Size of sample" As i had been a inspector earlier ,i new this was about what % of a production run was taken out for checking, before i could say anything he said,"You don't have to answer that as we have tape measures to check sizes. 2nd question "Do i know the correct way to pick up a box, again before i could reply he said "Pick up that box on next table." This box was 6"x3"x3", i picked it up with one hand, then said "shall i put it back down now". I then walked out of the interview, having being confirmed that some bosses give promotions to people who will never be a threat to their position. I retired 4 weeks later.

As I was told off for this on Facebook by a woman I know, "only one explanation mark is required, not several".

Perfect grammar is essential only if being taught. Context is everything. It helps when a limited but worthy correspondent joins a forum of any kind to express their view. It's the view that's important and those who would dare to be critics tend to miss the point unless, of course, they are being humorous.
Anyone who is capable of good grammar can tell from context what the sense is. The result is that general levels will rise naturally. Anyway, alternative grammar, rather than bad is how the language develops. American English is now in wider use than the original! Or at least, it seems to be!
