Default Jeff Bezos (Amazon) to give $10billion to fight “Climate Change”

Classic deflection technique. $10billion for Amazon is far cheaper than paying a decent wage, providing good working conditions for its employees and paying the appropriate amount of corporate taxes to the countries Amazon operates in.

I think it’s called “Greenwash”.

Whatever it’s called - it stinks....

This seems the most relevant place to put this. If you have about 15 mins to waste, er, put to good use I mean, do have a gander. It's all about perspective.

Ten billion would help a lot of people in research to investigate how to support poorer communities who have no choice but to live with using fuels detrimental to the Worlds health.

"Nothing new under the sun" Up until 300years ago certainly in Britain mostly wood was used as fuel for heating and the primary building material and land and water construction. Less than 200years ago our merchant/naval vessels were overwhelmingly wooden. Just a thought. Chris.S.

Deforestation is the deliberate destruction of natural habit to any species that might become dangerous. It's about getting your defence in first. It's no secret that one tree makes a million matches.

I am a bit of an Anorak when it comes to history - and indeed “Natural History” - and to me - the biggest issue today is not CO2 - far from it, quite the reverse in fact as CO2 is basically plant food!

No - the biggest issue is deforestation. CO2 levels are a dead end, and something that I predict will prove an embarrassment for some.[/QUOTE]

With ref the CO2 farce, and I 've said this in another post somewhere, if we have "too much" CO2, then why are we still pumping it into greenhouses to feed plants?
Surely they could just extract it out of the air? Do us all a favour?
I'll never cut my lawn again if it helps?
Ironic that it's called a "Greenhouse gas" CO2, isn't it?
