My cousin married an HM Customs official (cocky swine) who ran off with another woman. Saw him cycling down Regent Street one day and tried to knock him clean through Hamleys' front window with a Ford Granada estate. Missed (bus got in the way at the last second), so went round for another attempt. Too late dammit - opportunity gone.

i hate the way cyclists get so much abuse.....after all they were on the roads long before cars were...as a motorist i always give cyclists/horses/farm machinery time, space, way, and a good dose of manners!

as a cyclist i am very aware of traffic etc..........some people are in just too much of a rush to get places

no need
and no need for these types of stupid possible laws either

Once at a set of traffic lights in my old v12 xjs a cyclist comes along and then leans on the rear wing! in the mirror you could see his handle bars touching the paint! Anyway i was'nt having any of it, as soon as the lights turned orange i put me foot down and the ****** fell of. Realy did'nt mean for that to happen but it did teach him a lesson.

The proposed "law" is unconstitutional in the basis of English Law. Period..

Even if the dumb ministers pass it, it will open a legal minefield. I cannot see how it can be implemented in practice.

Fault is found by a process. If that cannot be found it is the considered as "knock for knock" and civil law comes into play.

Anyway this law seems ****** stupid! If anything the cyclists around here are more of a danger to the motorists. The amount of times i've seen cyclists riding around at night with no lights or reflective clothing. I nearly had one the other day when he just decided to pull out of a junction right in front of me, so if i hit him i would be to blame?

I'm not saying that all cyclists are stupid, it's just that over 50% of them around here are!

Totally agree!

Nowadays they go down one way streets the wrong way, go on the pavements, just jump off pavements and cross the roads without looking. Kids and adults alike nowadays. Do they think that they own the thoroughfares without paying road taxes?

When I was a kid it was almost compulsory to take a cycling proficiency test. I never did any of the above infractions with my Raleigh three speed bicycle!!

The world is going nuts!!!

Now Zeb, you should be able to come up with something more original than that, surely Flavio Briatore and Pat Symonds tried that one
