That's nice!
What sort of mpg do you expect to get? Even if it's lowish, with the LPG it should make it reasonably cheap to run!

I mostly do short trips, so I'm getting around 20MPG - but at 53p a litre I don't really care
Its on a classic policy (£236 a year) Tax is only £190 for a year (pre 2001) and its just heaven to drive. And while it is slightly more comfortable than the 75, there is a LOT more room inside the 75. Dare I say it, if I was a family man looking for a practical car the 75 would swing it - the boot on the Jag is very shallow (and with the gas tank in there no room for the spare wheel) the jags rear seat also does not fold down (unlike our 75 that has both a ski hatch and a folding seat) There are other things, and it would be unfair to compare both cars (as the 75 is the more modern of the 2) but I am not a family man and I can live with the shallow boot and "cosy" interior for that V8 warble

So, technically your 20 mpg is effectively around 40 mpg? Not bad!
And the tax isn't bad either! Wonder if I can swing with SWMBO for something similar?!

Looks realy nice! As it's a early nikasil V8 engine whatever you do don't ever turn it off straight away from a cold start, eg just moving it off the drive as it will flood its self and you won't get it started again as all the fuel washes away the oil from the cyl walls and it losses compression.
If you ever need any help just give me a shout, i know these cars quite well!

I had an XJ40 before this one, and always said I would have another one, I thought the XJ8 was out of my price range then this one popped up at a silly price (hows just under 2k sound?) and I jumped at it.
