Unhappy My Tom Tom won't work

I have a Tom Tom One which won't switch on. I've tried resetting it with a paper clip but still nothing.
Other than throwing it through the window or hitting it with a hammer dos any one have any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting to factory settings via the menu?
It does mean that all your personal settings disappear but if its not working anyway, heyho!!
Do you use Tom Tom Home to update etc?
Cheers

When you connect to your computer does it show up as a separate drive via "my computer"?

Oh dear, sounds a bit terminal, but that's just my opinion. Am I right in saying that the "One" does not use an SD card?

Yes it does have an SD card so hopefully any data I have should be saved

Silly question but have you tried taking the SD card out? Then try starting it up. If you have a card reader you should be able to save the data etc to your computer.
Clutching at straws comes to mind!!

Sorry I couldn't help. You could contact TomTom direct and see if they have any idea's. You can contact them by email off their web site. Nothing to lose!
Good luck anyway.
