The Tortoise and the Snail

A tortoise was walking down a back street in Hackney when he was set upon and robbed by a gang of snails.
A police officer came to investigate and asked the tortoise if he could explain what happened.
The tortoise looked at the constable with a confused look on his face and replied "I don't know, it all happened so quickly."
