Default MG ZTT 2.5 v6

or Sale: MG ZT-T 2.5 V6

Hi all

I have for sale my 2004 MG ZT-T 2.5
It is a petrol V6 with manual transmission
The body is Silver with a black leather interior
Mileage is 118312
Comes with 2 keys
MoT expires September 2020 (the registration is KP04KRK in case you want to see the test history).
I have had this Tourer for over 9 years and had 6 years’ service history when I bought it. My annual mileage is pretty low at around 5,000 miles, and all work during my ownership has been done by MGRS in High Wycombe. The oil service has been done annually with a full service every other year. Overall I reckon I have about 90% of all the receipts.

That’s the basics (btw it drives lovely), so time for the good and the bad.
During my time this car has had a lot of mechanical work done to it, including:
  • Uprated stainless-steel lower coolant rail
  • Uprated metal thermostat
  • K&N panel filter
  • Piper cams fitted
  • Full stainless-steel exhaust from the exhaust manifold
  • Had the engine Terra Cleaned
  • Spy-hole mod done
  • Hand break compensator fitted (as per forum)
  • Rear shocks (1 year old)
  • New clutch (1 year old )
  • Uprated vis motors fitted (as per forum)
  • Gold resister fitted

This Tourer also has quite a few items changed too!
  • Cowley era burr walnut dash
  • 1 of the 100-burr walnut gear knob from a member of the forum (this needs a refurb now)
  • Full leather/electric/heated interior charcoal colour, NO piping, up rated heating as per forum
  • Rear centre air vent consul hydro dipped in burr walnut effect
  • Rear light clusters have the uprated tab fix as per forum
  • New message centre screen fitted
  • Rear windows tinted
  • Instrument binnacle changed to the 75 version
  • Ezz easy temp gauge fitted in the centre console
  • Harmon Karmon tweeters front and rear fitted
  • A few lines have appeared on the message centre
  • Low/ High horns
  • New old stock leather steering wheel
  • Up rated the heater panel to MG 7 spec
  • Fixed and uprated the drivers seat where your right butt sits near the bolster (common fault)

That’s the good stuff. There are some points though which need work.
  • The exterior is the most obvious bit. The driver’s side had a bump at some point before I owned it and really it needs a respray below the trim line. There is also the familiar rashes on the bumpers and the sills are showing some signs of corrosion with a small dent in the one side. I’ve sprayed the jacking points with cavity wax and there were no advisories at the last test
  • The drivers side wing mirror was knocked and the glass no longer moves – the heating element still works though.
  • The stainless-steel exhaust needs fettling to cure it occasionally knocking the cross member support.
  • The cruise control and passenger seat heating element needs fettling to get them working.
  • The tyres are recent but a slow leak points to three of them needing to be taken off and refitted with the rims properly cleaned back.
  • Drivers side headlights elf levelling came out of its cradle and needs reattaching
  • One of the keys is not activating the alarm – it does have the chip in the fob
  • The original stereo is starting to act up
  • There is a small chip in the wind screen but NOT in the line of sight to fail MoT. I have a heated wind screen from Ric-sta boxed ready to replace.

I’m really hoping someone will take this Tourer on and have it turning heads once again. I’m looking for £450 and am located West London
