Thank you Fred, the drive through the park was a birthday treat. The rangers were around to keep an eye on visitors to the park and to make sure the animals were not disturbed. When we arrived, we had to get out of the 4x4, wash our hands and have our temperature checked. We have to wear face masks at all times and that includes inside the car. The picnic sites BBQ’s were closed to discourage mingling. The only things accessible was the WC facilities, but they were also being watched by the rangers for mingling etc

Acacia Tree Masaai Mara by Philip Gate Keeper, on Flickr Commonly found in the Masai Mara National Game Reserve is the Acacia Tree, a photo I took in 2011. The reserve is just over 900 square miles big and we are planning on going there for a camping break in our tent. Our favourite camp site is at Sand River near to the closed Tanzanian border crossing. We like the Sand River as there is no pollution in the water and there are no crocodiles. Its safe for us to go in for a cooling dip |

My apologies for removing the video. Here it is with the corrected title. On the second edit, I removed the music and decided to keep the sound of the wind and animals/birds in. Filmed handheld. Thank you for looking.

Thank you Jeff In September/October, I took my laptop on safari into the bush and to the coast where it was very hot. If you remember, I knocked the laptop over and the screen was smashed. Fortunately, I was able to find a replacement screen from another donor MacBook and it worked okay. For the trip to South Africa, I decided not to take the MBP and I am just catching up now with the photo editing.
Thank you Jeff for the encouragement. |
