Default symphony radio code help

I have just installed a Symphony into my 75 and inadvertently put the wrong code in. I realize that I now have to wait for 2/4/8/16/32 minutes or whatever but the question is. if the waiting time is say 32 minutes, does the ignition/ radio need to be left on permanently for this period, i.e without interruption, or, does the required time accrue (20 minutes in one session, 12 minutes the next)

Try a 30-minute battery disconnect, that will get around the wrong code being input because even if you enter the right one, once battery disconnected you would need to reset it.

Just be sure to enter proper code next time. Incidentally most Symphony radio;s did not have code set by dealers, and unlike the Harmony unit it wasn't factory set.
