Default end of story for me i think

After a recent breakdown we were left with one car and we need two all the time
Today ive been sent to service my truck and its just round the corner from autoland
Instead of waiting in scania service went there and bought a 13 plate mini cooper d with 18k on the clock
Mg will be repaired motd and put in cars for sale section

Red face

Sorry to hear this news Mike, but I quite understand. I'm not far off changing my rover, albeit reluctantly, as I'm getting fed up with things going wrong and it's working out expensive.
Good luck,
Martyn

From what I have seen of new cars let's hope you don't get stung!

Driving a recovery truck like I used to you see the reality of new and almost new car ownership and it makes one wonder how much some manufacturers pay to keep the truth hidden.

In fact the only time we picked up older cars was normally due to them being in an shunt or just after they had been serviced and the so called mechanic had mucked up. This was years ago now when the Freelander and the K-Series HGF was at it's height but it certainly put me off new cars and especially large franchise dealers.

I do wonder at the number of much-newer-than-mine cars (mostly VAG and BMW, it seems) that I see on the back of tow trucks. I wonder if it's because new cars won't let you carry on if their brain thinks there's a fault?

Shssssssh ...... your not supposed to noticed the superior Germanic cars faults and that they break down!

Some of the ones I had to pick up you would not believe especially the couldn't care less attitude of the dealers.

Good luck, it's sad to see a few of the 'regulars' leaving the fold these days.
