How much would it cost to have the clutch done on my 1.8l rover 75, just roughly

It does depend on what parts you are changing but clutch plate, slave and the shaft it sits on, £650 with labour?
https://rimmerbros.com/ItemList--Rov...-Kits--m-21594 also check DMGRS web site for parts what is wrong with yours? macafee2 |

Everyone you push done the clutch or just touch the pedal, it makes a slight wirring noise

Don't worry yet.
Unless it stops you changing gears or goes to the floor don't worry, the noise is the bearing and even new ones can do that. If it's biting and not slipping in any gear it will be fine.

It has been doing it for a little while now but apart from the wirring noise there is no difference with the clutch at all.!!!!!!

I would drive it until something breaks as recommended by Mike.
Unless you are doing the job yourself, the cost is prohibitive. Elongate the life of the release bearing by always putting the car into neutral when stationary. Brian |

I cut my gear changes down on long flat roads by using only 1st, 3rd, and 5th gears. |
