What's the battery voltage before you start , classic symptom of low voltage . Electronics don't like low voltage, not like older vehicles. I see you have cleaned all the earth leads, make sure that all the power leads are also similarly up to scratch

Use T-Cut's OBD guide to determine battery voltage; https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...ad.php?t=55585

Do you have a multi-meter ???

If so, could you check the battery voltage in the morning before you try to start the engine and let us know what it is ??

Hi thanks all for the info I will give them all a try, I did try jump leads from my Insignia however I couldent get near enough so very long leads about 7 metres, also I took the battery out the rover to change the starter motor so just clipped the jump leads to the disconnected terminals!!

Doubt if normal jump leads can carry enough power to start from a remote battery. Fit the battery properly and do the OBD test / or multimeter. There is a big danger that trying to start a Rover 75 with less than adequate power will result in a scrapped car !
