Is a LHD, drivers side mirror the same as RHD, passenger side?

Thanks Pete, might look into the suggestion of fitting the ordinary one as mine is Bullet type.

Well, I have just been out to my car to have a look, Mine is fitted with Bullets (non-powerfold) and they are the same, so they are interchangeable. I recently had to replace one and when I bought it I did not have to state left or right.
