Default Turbo charger boost sensor/ control solenoid

Good day. After having massive reduction to power output of my diesel V6 (115bhp) I’ve checked all the basics including intercooler o seals etc air and fuel filters, pumps etc. I’ve been suggested to check and replace the turbo charger boost solenoid valve which I think controls the amount the turbo is boosting. In my Haines manual I can only find info on the turbocharger boost pressure sensor. Would this be the component or is this just part of the system and not the actual solenoid valve. Does my car have a boost solenoid valve. I would love some input and possibly some pictures would help.
I’ve checked the MAF sensor too and it’s not that.

WELL, if you are looking in the V6 part of your Haynes manual you are in the wrong place.--Try reading up about the diesel engine.----

If you have a 116, you need a remap to make it much more driveable.

HI Adrian.
Are you referring to the turbo boost pressure sensor (MAP) on the side of the manifold.
1

They can get clogged up.
2
Doubt that would cause a massive reduction to power.

Or are you talking about turbo charger boost temperature sensor.
3

Again doubt that would be your problem.

How did you check the MAF sensor
4

Did you unplug it, and see if the car drove ok then ?
