This was an update from Phil from the afternoon .....

I am still in CCU, I had a poor night because CCU was very noisy, the patient next to me was confused, very loud and I could not sleep. From midnight tonight, I am nil by mouth and at 8 a.m I am having any endoscopy to check on stomach ulcer and also due to an MRI over weekend to check on the aneurysm. The doctors are telling me how much better I look in comparison to how I was yesterday. Due to be transferred to a private wing which is much quieter than CCU. When I mentioned I had a headache from
tiredness they said let’s do a brain scan and we will refer you to a neurosurgeon or a neurologist. I declined this. They are wanting to up their bill.
Hi Jeff, thank you for doing the updates and for passing on everyone’s get well wishes. This morning I had the endoscopy and this afternoon I had the brain scan and another lung scan. The doctors have just left and said there is nothing requiring immediate surgery and that I can go home tomorrow.

The heart block was caused by medication that I am no longer on, but I am to be seen again next Wednesday in outpatients for follow up and to get my prostate checked. I think I had a lucky escape, the doctors said if I had left it any longer I would have not made it, so I count my blessings. Thank goodness Jessica and my BIL got me to the hospital in time.

Thank you all of my friends here for those messages and prayers of support which helped me get through. Everything you said mattered.

It's so nice to hear some positive news for a change.
I bet you can't wait to get home Phil.

Make sure you rest up properly when you get home and good to have you back on here

Morning Richard and welcome to the day. Thank you for your text message which I will pick up after I have been discharged later on today. You have done really well from the moment when you had the accident to where you are now. Now we have to get through this. At 5 am, I had blood
taken, I just had IV medication, then the nurses are going to give me a bed bath.

I am on a cardiac breakfast, no salt, no ‘English’….no sausages.

After that, the doctors will visit to give me the once over before letting me go. Then comes the painful part, paying the bill. I have a £500 excess on the Health cover which I will have to pay up front. Hopefully the rest will be taken care of by the insurance people, then I will be allowed to leave the hospital.

The main thing Richard is you look after yourself and your treatment goes well.

Morning Phil,

I bet your looking forward to getting home today

My entertainment here will be to start fitting the new blinds I ordered for the studio. Wooden Venetian blinds for the windows and vertical blinds over the sliding doors.
Cooking lunch, nothing fancy today, just a ready made chicken pie, mash and veg.

Then sitting down to watch the 'League' Cup Final, Liverpool v Chelski, although less Chelski and more Chelsea after Abramovich's decision to stand down!

Cool

Morning everyone from sunny Saltash.

Off to a new breakfast meet at Newton Abbot, open to all classic cars.
I’m meeting up with some of the gang at the Co-op at Trago Mills then we can park up together.

Ben Smith is bringing the ex-LimoRog’s V8 all the way from Wales.
