Do I need a hat???
Hi all,
I hope I dont offend anyone here, please take this in the light hearted manner in which it's intended! The question is, do I need a hat? Most of my work colleges have been taking the micky since I bought my ZT and have said thats its an old mans car. Suddenly, I have a new nickname. " Trilby!" It's more polite than my old nickname, so I'm not too bothered TBH! Anyway, Is it true? Do most Rover 75 male drivers wear hats? Trilby or other?

No hat required, but slippers and Werther's are a must have.

Funny you should say that, my step son bought me some slippers my last birthday, and the wife ( bless her ) asked me the other day if I wanted some Werther's for my glove box! Oh, and a pair of driving gloves!
Being one to give as good as I get, I asked her if she was going to have a blue rinse next time she has her hair done!

Considering your forum name shouldn't it be a Bowler hat ?

And a pipe.
Also a Sergeant Major mustache wouldn't go amiss.

Just to mix it up a bit, I wear a bobble hat when it's cold. But then I have an MG and not a Rover Oh yeah, my eldest son brought me a flat cap last year too

I have 14 Kango tropicals (every acceptable colour, a Homberg, a Karakoul (for the winter, a genuine Afghan Astrakhan) and a 1945 de-mob army centre-fold (not mine, I 'm not that old). Lots of 'Look, there's that bloke again, he's got style. And a Rover'. Even a few waves. Still waiting for the autograph hunters.
