Alarm problems

With the car locked when I open the boot the indicators flash and continue flashing for sometime after , when looking through the window (car still locked) I can see the Alarm light flashing and the mileometer of the speedo lit up nothing else in the cluster is lit . I have had a bell symbol come up in the dash a few times before.
