Just bought myself a 2001 pre project 2.0 cdt connoisseur SE auto with Nav. She has been remapped to 131bhp, has done 103000 miles, has had the fuel pumps replaced. She drives very well and will be even better when I get used to the front wheel drive after my S type. I am looking forward to discovering what secrets she has after reading this forum and discovering about how to do this and that. I plan to service her myself but can't seem to find a thread about trusted garages and specialists. The chap who sold me her (For not much more than a long weekend in Prague) tells me there is a good chap in Bristol, where I live, not far from me. I am very pleased to have got myself what I consider to be a future classic (If you don't believe that read Honest John's website) which will give me many ears of pleasure. This is the most comprehensive forum I have ever been on so top marks to the moderators.

Enjoy your new purchase.

We often frequent the Bristol area as SWMBO's parents live up there. Make sure you keep an eye on the 'South West Events and Meets' section of the forum, where you would be made most welcome to any future get togethers!

Welcome to the club and to ownership of a 75, I used to work at a certain television company on the Bath Road down your way

Try these guys for starters http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/inde...=dealer_gloucs

We could do with more recommendations for the Bristol area too, so if you find any, let us know.

Thanks for the replies very interesting. I enjoyed reebs links v much. Now I will be able to check my spec. I know it has highline sat nav, projector headlamps(fitted by previous owner) reverse sensors, power rear sun blind, auto dim mirror so it looks like someone specified nearly everything at build. I am collecting her on Monday and am looking forward to it very much.

Welcome, there is a thriving section of members in the SW, and we in Wales don't find the odd furriner turning up at our meets as well!
