SP2 help?
Have just had one of our pc's F disked and Windows XP reinstalled.
Now need to re instal SP2 but can't locate the disc Has anyone got a SP2 disc I could borrow so I can avoid downloading? Will pay p&p etc tvm

Thanks Could I download it as an` exe file to a cd and then shove it in the pc that needs it?

Not sure its an exe - but you *could* install XP, connect to internet then use the autoupdate and let it download sp2 ... I'll send teh CD if its easier in the long run!!

To save the hassle of doing that again (installing XP and then SP2) why not simply make yourself a "slipstream" disk?
for full information go here: http://www.theeldergeek.com/slipstreamed_xpsp2_cd.htm (please note this is perfectly legal for you to do, as long as you only use your own discs and its for your own PC) I have even went a step further, in that every month I make a new CD up with all the updates installed already and you can even get really techy and make up a DVD with all your software on it as well (but thats a bit too geeky for even me )
