Loose connector behind grill help please
Hi,new To This.just Bought 04 Zt 1.8 In Black ,extremly Happy. Only Had It Couple Of Days And Have Noticed A Connector/plug Black And Ornge Wires Hanging Behind Grill!!!!!can Anyone Help E.g What Is It ,how To Put Back

Welcome to the club.
Whilst under Warranty get the Garage to sort it out. I'm afraid I'm not sure what it is as there are a Number of Options, From Second Horn connection. Headlight wash Supply. Bonnet alarm Plug. |

no pics at moment.wires feed from behind drivers headlamps and run towards centre of grill,but plug/connector is dangling just behind mesh of grill.can reach it from underneath but can't see where it goes.plug 1inch thick 2inch long looks electrical

Orange and Black/Slate wire is the external temperature sensor wiring.

thanks eeen for your reply ,think it is external temp gauge and managed to lasoo it with a bit if wire and tie to grill for now.their is a small clip above it so will try and re attach when got 5 mins cheers

Have you still got the temperature sensor in position ? Symptom of your flapping lead should be the external temperature display on the instrument panel showing -30C. The air con won't work properly without it. I lost mine in my recent 'prang' and had to have another one on the insurance, (plus a new bumper wiring loom). Other party is paying as it was all his fault ! |
