Never knew that, I knew he had a garage, and operated a recovery service.
Fred must be in his 70s or 80s now?

He was a pioneer of remould tyres in motorsport (primarily rallying at that time) - specifically the Colway brand. He used them himself, and when he cut back on his own rallying career, became Motorsport Manager for Colway, responsible for marketing their tyres around the world.

I bought a duel USB 12 volt charger from that Bang good site (the missus says that name sounds like a porn site ) for my smartphone (my phone didn't come with a car charger), It has an intelligent chip and can charge multiple different devices that have different currents. It shows your car battery voltage & different currents going into whatever you've got plugged into it and all for £3.09 delivered

How do they do it!

I thought I'd check that 12V phone charger device out as it only read 12.1 volts this morning. I put my multimeter across the battery and it was right, time to put the battery trickle/conditioner charger on it.

Evening all been dry and mostly sunny all day.
P6 news got the right size ring fitted all the bits today .
No bl***y spark.
Had a swear as you do.Then a cup of tea and a think.
Took it all back out,the original dizzy has two sets of points.
Only put one set back set the gap ,hey presto it started ok let it run for awhile til it got warm.
Then took a chance and took it for a run.
Went like a dream seemed better than before
Will leave it alone for the winter getting a bit nippy in the garage now.

Battening down the hatches and turning the telly up to try to avoid the girls getting wound up by fireworks.

Our Collie is shaking like a leaf poor thing, I pity the animals in the middle east where conflict is rife. As for the terrorist's I don't give a s h I t about them.

Trauma tomorrow, going to take the Limo for a MOT, at a garage I don’t know, it has excellent reviews, so fingers and everything else crossed.
