Morning all - hope everyone is as well as encroaching old age and various bugs/diseases will allow?

Well it is summer kicking off here on the mountain with the pollen levels high. I have been walking up to the summit most days, 4 miles there and back for the therapeutic walk Apparently the winter did not take the snakes, but so far I haven’t spotted any for photos but will be keeping my eyes peeled as I know they are around ....have a peaceful night

Blimey - that makes my school hike look like a trip to the bottom of the garden

Morning Steve - I do envy Phil some of that scenery, but personally, I'd be tempted to use a 4x4 for that trip

Cracking photo Freddie - you must be a lot further East than me to get the sun out at that time of the morning. It's only just peeping up over the edge of the Moors here.

Ditto - the temperature has dropped fair few degrees since yesterday - hard frost forecast for tonight too.

We've had a drop or two over the past couple of days - at least my garage has managed to stay dry after our efforts in the Summer to get some drainage around the base.

Morning (well, it's afternoon now) Jeff. Are you settling into the routines of your new career now?

Three months in already Rod.
Where does the time go

I'm still doing a couple of days in the shop but when I take over the other round in Norfolk (hopefully in the next month or two) then I will be working Monday to Friday.

Hopefully for the first time in many years I will have the weekends off apart from any photographic jobs I decide I might want to undertake on occasion.

After all the snide comments and armchair critics going on in the general forum at the moment, mostly from peeps that really are just jumping in for the hell of it.
All I can say is......I'm glad to be out of it

Made it a special day for old Abbey, her bed has been washed, she's had a bath and her nails clipped. Don't think she appreciated it though.

Cold virus report: still a bit choked up, cough and a pounding head. Just to add to it the statin side effects are reaching the point where I need to take a break from them.

I don't blame you Jeff. I'm having similar problems over the admittance of ladies to my watering hole. Despite a ballot in which 77% of the voters voted in favour of allowing them in, and despite getting confirmation from the ACC (inventors of our rules)that everything was legal and above board, we've still got a small band (20 or 30) trying to get the decision reversed. Misogynist dinosaurs the lot of 'em

Times like this make you wonder why you done so much to help people Jeff

They are so quick to twist the knife in your back,if they are so called friends you are better off without them.
