You may as well for the cost here is five years worth, unless you change your oil every six months then you only have 2.5 years worth Arctic

As above. I use Red Hermatite on my washer. 15 oil changes and on my second washer. Perfectly ok to use the washer again if in good condition.Never had any leaks.

Wipe a lil bit of Soap on the Alum heat it til the soap goes black and Quench.. thats all.

Copper: heat til Cherry red or there abouts and Quench ..

Clean either with a bit of Scotch bright.

What's going on guys!!! I ordered 20th they arrived 21st, as I change quite a few members oil and filters for them, I just buy new washes it is a no brainer.

Like Artic, I bought a pack of washers and am working my way through them.

Recently I fitted a replacement sump plate to my motorbike as the sump threads for the plug were disingrating. Both the old plug and the replacement had washers that were so old they had to be cut off. Luckily they are the same size as the Rover so it's all buttoned up nicely.

Finally, I know we all like saving money keeping our motors in good shape, but really for the price of a washer on the sump is it worth it?
