Default Abandoned MGB GT V8

At least one of them amongst this very sad collection of abandoned cars in Scotland.

Presumably all the cars have been left to rot as they were bought as cheap MOT failures? Whatever the reason, each car has it's own story, was one or more owners pride and joy and it's heart breaking to think how there are so many who would sell their granny to get hold of some of these for spare parts at least.

On the surface many do look solid but I would expect years of being sat hubcap deep in wet forest debris has left the undersides beyond salvation.

As for the Beetle at the start, I bet a new battery, fresh fuel plus a good shouting at and it would start first time

If all that’s outside it makes you wonder what’s in the buildings.

It is so sad to see cars in this state when if they had be repaired at the time it would probably have cost only a few hundred but now are no more than parts held together with rust. I suppose at least it will give other cars a chance to survive if the parts are used.

It reminds me of an old car in an orchard near where I grew up, we used to jump on it and the last time I saw it there was tree growing up through the engine bay, the car was a series on E type Jag. No idea what happened to it as the orchard has now gone as is a housing estate.

I’ve been looking at a lot of these clips on U Tube recently including this one.

It’s quite astonishing that some very rare cars are simply just lying abandoned.

Even if you could purchase some of these getting the title may present a problem.

I don't believe that. One car has a SCO sticker and they are predominantly the sort of cars you would see on UK roads some years ago. Unless it was a Finnish collector of UK cars??

There's this video on Youtube of, I think Norway, where there's a dozen or more Sierra & Escort Cosworths 'abandoned' in the woods.
